Hmong New Year - Began end of October/beginning of November...and into the rest of this month.11/19/2012 With Hmong New Year being the end of Old and a beginning of New, which started at the beginning of November for the Hmong, a Shaman would release the old used incense sticks that remained all year on their alter to release all used energies to trade for new ones. For some it is critical and other may be not, it all depends on spirit guide type and what their preferences are, however if there are none, then this would be best practice of a Shaman to do so for gaining pure energy in moving forward into the New Year.
